01 — How it works

From first search to first reply.

  1. 01

    Pick your year

Start with the class year you are in now. Listings you can't apply to are hidden.

  2. 02

    Shortlist three programs

Save them to the tracker. Each one shows pay, location, and the deadline.

  3. 03

    Format a resume for each

Choose a program and the builder moves the sections that matter for it to the top.

  4. 04

    Send one email this week

Pick a template, fill in the blanks, and copy. Check every message before sending.

  5. 05

    Track every deadline

The tracker flags anything due within 72 hours so nothing slips.

03 — Questions

Answers before you ask.

Does a summer research program take students with no lab experience?+

Many research programs for first-years and sophomores say no prior lab experience is needed. Check the eligibility line on each listing. We only show a rule when the official page states it.

Can a class project count as experience on my resume?+

Yes. The builder puts projects in their own section, so a class project gets its own title and bullets, separate from jobs.

How far ahead should I email someone before a deadline?+

Aim for two to three weeks before the deadline, so they have time to reply before you apply. The outreach templates are written for that window.

Can I filter to paid programs only?+

Yes. Every listing is tagged PAID or UNPAID, and the directory has a paid-only filter.

Is this free, and does it need an account?+

Yes to both. There is no account and no fee. Your resume and tracker stay in your browser, so clearing site data erases them.

Where the information comes from

We check the official sources.

Every listing links to the program's own page. Deadlines and eligibility are copied only from that page, and the directory shows when each one was last checked.
